Senior to Principal Public Health Design Engineer (Building Services)

As an experienced public health engineer at Senior, Principal or Associate level, you will lead delivery on prestigious projects in Bristol or Cardiff, serving as a client-facing senior technical authority. You’ll integrate sustainability, digital design and modern methods of construction into engineering solutions for mission-critical facilities in aviation, healthcare and defence. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with a cross-functional team to meet technical, cost and programme goals. Responsibilities

• Lead public health engineering delivery for key projects
• Represent WSP to clients and translate needs into engineering solutions
• Mentor and develop junior engineers
• Manage technical, cost and programme aspects of delivery
• Incorporate sustainability, net zero, digital design and MMC into design work
• Support construction phase activities and feasibility studies

Key requirements

• Working knowledge of UK public health building services design and relevant standards at Senior/Principal/Associate level
• Ability to lead teams and manage junior engineers
• Strong technical judgment for feasibility, concept, detailed design and construction support
• Ability to communicate with clients and understand client needs
• Ability to manage technical, cost and programme elements
• Must obtain UK Security Check (SC)
• Experience in Building Water Services, Sanitary Drainage, Surface Water Drainage, Fire Suppression, Gas Services, Medical Gas systems
