Senior / Principal Structural Engineer – Dams

Overview

In this role you support AECOM’s dams projects by delivering structural analysis, design, and assessment for concrete dams and related structures. You’ll work with a national and international team to develop sustainable water solutions, mentор young engineers, and help ensure quality through construction and inspection activities. Responsibilities

• Structural analysis and review of concrete dams, spillways and appurtenant structures
• Conceptual to detailed design of dams and structural components
• Inspection, investigation and condition assessment of existing dams
• Construction support services including QA/QC data evaluation and construction reporting
• Preparation of tenders and proposals; mentoring junior engineers

Key requirements

• Demonstrated capability in structural design within the dam industry, including design reports, drawings, and specifications
• Positive mindset with a track record of innovation, collaboration and growth
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience developing and nurturing stakeholder relationships with clients and internal teams
• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related discipline (essential)
