Senior Application Engineer (EDRMS)

Overview

As a Senior Application Engineer, you will support and enhance enterprise platforms that underpin national security and critical services. You will work across engineering and service teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions aligned with operational needs. You’ll lead engineering tasks, resolve issues, and contribute to architecture and lifecycle activities. Responsibilities

• Support, configure, and enhance enterprise applications such as SharePoint, Dynamics, or other critical platforms
• Deliver engineering tasks within defined work packages, ensuring alignment with user needs, security requirements, and SLAs
• Contribute to application architecture, integration, and lifecycle activities under guidance of senior engineers
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, service management, and business teams to resolve technical issues
• Mentor junior engineers and specialists, supporting their development and promoting best practices
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, documentation, and knowledge sharing
• Ensure compliance with engineering governance, ITSM processes, and cyber security policies

Key requirements

• Solid experience in supporting, configuring, and enhancing enterprise applications such as SharePoint, Dynamics, or similar platforms
• Ability to solve moderately complex application-related issues and contribute to secure, scalable solutions
• Understanding of application lifecycle management, integration patterns, and secure-by-design principles
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering and business teams
• Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
• Core areas (must have): EDMS/EDRMS management and lifecycle
• Document-driven workflows and case management configuration
• Integration of EDRMS with enterprise systems (identity, LOB apps, data sources)
• Application lifecycle management (deployment, maintenance, upgrades, decommissioning)
• Integration patterns and identity management (SSO, RBAC, API)
• Secure-by-design principles and application security practices
• Technical problem solving and resolution of application-related issues
• Collaboration with engineering, service management, and business teams
• Experience with information governance and compliance in enterprise environments
• Delivery within enterprise/secure/defence environments
• Desirable: experience with EDRMS platforms (e.g., Hyland OnBase), records management standards, enterprise integration (SAP, CRM), OCR/metadata tagging, reporting/audit capabilities, Active Directory integration, DevOps/CI-CD practices
• Security clearance obligations (BPSS and DV)
