Overview
As a Site Based Health and Safety Manager, you will support a major Nottingham project by upholding high safety standards and ensuring documentation, audits, and investigations are effectively conducted. You work closely with site teams and the SHEQ Director to drive safer operations and compliant practices. You will lead incident investigations and implement root-cause-driven improvements to minimise recurrence. This role offers an opportunity to shape safety culture on a large civil engineering site within a reputable company. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure documentation is current and compliant
- Perform audits, inspections and reporting to monitor health and safety standards
- Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
Key requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role within demolition, civil engineering, aggregates or related industry
- Site-level experience with ability to influence and build relationships across the business
- Strong knowledge of ISO Management Systems (ISO 45001, 14001, 9001)
- NEBOSH Construction or equivalent qualification; IOSH membership desirable
