Insurance Solicitor

Overview

Join a prestigious Insurance & Risk team in a Top 50 law firm in London to advise insurers, MGAs and reinsurers on complex coverage issues and disputes. You will handle high-value property damage claims, draft and review policy wordings, and manage disputes in leading courts, while supporting business development through thought leadership. You’ll work with experienced colleagues to deliver commercially focused advice to a diverse client base and contribute to the practice’s growth and profile.

Responsibilities

• Advise insurers, MGAs, reinsurers on complex coverage issues, claims and disputes
• Focus on high-value property damage claims and coverage disputes
• Draft and review insurance policy wordings, especially for property damage risks
• Manage complex disputes before the Commercial Court and the Technology & Construction Court
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in business development through seminars, articles and market engagement

Key requirements

• 7+ years’ PQE
• significant insurance or reinsurance experience
• experience in a recognised City firm, specialist insurance practice or in-house environment
• strong technical expertise and commercial awareness
• excellent client relationship and communication skills
• thorough understanding of the London insurance market
