Product Analyst – Pre-enrolment Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will own end-to-end delivery of external Power Pages portals while contributing to the broader Microsoft stack. You will lead UCAS and Admissions data exchanges, coordinate with vendors, and help shape the platform’s long-term architecture. You’ll work within an Agile squad to deliver scalable, reliable student systems and integrations, driving DevOps maturity and cross-functional collaboration. This is a hands-on, problem-solving position with a meaningful impact on admissions and student experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of external Power Pages portals using Liquid, FetchXML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Web APIs
• Configure and support solutions across the Microsoft stack (model-driven apps, canvas apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
• Manage source control and deployment pipelines across environments using Azure DevOps and GitHub
• Act as technical lead for UCAS data exchanges, managing transfers, upgrades, and reporting
• Manage integrations between UCAS, Banner (Data Connect), core student systems, and Dataverse; optimise SQL data flows
• Liaise with external vendors (UCAS, Ellucian) to resolve issues and coordinate enhancements
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve defects and architectural issues to safeguard user journeys
• Represent portal and integration delivery in sprint reviews and technical forums with Product Owners and stakeholders
• Advance DevOps maturity through CI/CD automation and pipeline improvements

Key requirements

• Degree in computer technology or related discipline; equivalent practical industry experience
• Proven Power Platform development with a focus on Power Pages and external portal delivery
• Strong practical skills in Liquid, FetchXML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Dataverse; experience with SQL data flows or integrations (UCAS/Banner)
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps; managing source control, PRs, and multi-tier deployment pipelines
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities; capable of engaging with vendors and senior stakeholders and owning solutions
