Operations Manager

Overview

In this Operations Manager role you drive manufacturing and engineering performance through Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement. You partner with senior leadership to optimize capacity, budget awareness, cost control, and safety, delivering measurable productivity gains. You lead cross-functional teams to improve process flow, quality, and on-time delivery in a hands-on, site-focused environment. This role offers meaningful impact by embedding operational excellence and supporting long-term growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operational activity across manufacturing and engineering to meet delivery commitments
• Drive productivity and continuous improvement using Lean principles, Kaizen, and waste reduction initiatives
• Monitor and improve key operational KPIs (quality, on-time delivery, efficiency)
• Support resource planning to align capacity with customer demand and improve process flow
• Partner with senior leadership on budget awareness, cost control, and quality protection
• Promote Health & Safety culture and support regulatory/compliance across operations

Key requirements

• Proven experience as Operations Manager or similar leadership role
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and end-to-end improvement projects
• Confident people leadership with coaching and developing teams
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems for reporting and planning
• Knowledge of Health & Safety in manufacturing and proactive risk management
