Overview

In this role you will lead strategic procurement and contracting across a major capital portfolio, maximizing value and mitigating commercial risk. You will partner with project teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders to shape procurement strategies and oversee end-to-end contract lifecycle. Your work addresses complex framework and contract arrangements, aiming for successful project outcomes in a renewables/infrastructure context. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement and contracting strategies aligned with project goals
  • Lead end-to-end Contract Lifecycle Management from sourcing to close-out
  • Prepare ITTs, tender documentation, contract award recommendations and evaluation criteria
  • Support sourcing of complex goods/services and run elements of competitive tenders
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships and monitor performance
  • Assist with contract negotiations and administration to ensure obligations are met
  • Identify, assess and mitigate procurement/commercial risks per governance
  • Draft/manage framework and call-off agreements and related documentation
  • Coordinate prequalification, supplier evaluations and due diligence
  • Monitor contract compliance, variations, claims and dispute resolution
  • Provide commercial support to project teams and identify opportunities for cost optimisation
  • Conduct data analysis, forecasting, and commercial reporting to support decisions
  • Prepare procurement plans, schedules and governance reporting
  • Promote proactive governance by updating stakeholders on risks and performance

Key requirements

  • Experience in procurement, contract management or supply chain roles within renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure, engineering or construction
  • Knowledge of onshore and offshore renewable energy projects and contracting models
  • Experience managing contracts through full lifecycle including tendering, award, admin, change and claims
  • Strong understanding of supplier sourcing, tender evaluations, governance and negotiation
  • Familiarity with NEC, FIDIC, LOGIC or equivalent contracts
  • Experience preparing procurement strategies, tender docs and commercial evaluations
  • Understanding of contract compliance, supplier performance management, variations and dispute resolution
  • Experience with project budgets, cost forecasting and commercial reporting
  • Strong stakeholder relationship skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of HSE governance and procurement best practices in major capital projects
  • Degree in related field or equivalent professional experience
  • MCIPS membership or progress towards qualification advantageous but not essential
