Overview

As Senior Finance Business Partner you will collaborate with senior leaders in the Borrowing portfolio to steer commercial decisions and financial planning. You will own end-to-end financials and controls for your area, challenge performance, and support strategic initiatives. The role sits at the intersection of finance and product, enabling profitability and growth through data-driven insights. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to shape investments and pricing in a scalable, data-informed way.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance contact for the business, partnering with senior leaders on commercial projects
• Analyze performance of existing products and support day-to-day business needs
• Dive into data to identify trends, opportunities, and storytelling for profitability and growth
• Scope and design new markets and products, build business cases, and negotiate with partners
• Present ideas and collaborate with engineering, legal, risk, product, strategy, and marketing
• Design and implement processes to improve decision-making as the company scales
• Support and mentor a team of financial analysts towards clear development goals

Key requirements

• Demonstrable experience in financial business partnering with senior business leaders
• Strong financial modelling using advanced Excel/Google Sheets; comfortable with SQL/Python for data extraction
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends and drive actions
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to gain buy-in across multiple functions
• Experience building business cases and presenting investment options
• Hands-on, collaborative approach to supporting projects of varying scope
• Attention to detail and ability to streamline processes for efficiency
• Background in retail banking; understanding of credit is preferred
