Overview

In this ML Data Associate role, you will support Alexa and other AI initiatives by labeling diverse data with high accuracy under strict privacy guidelines. You’ll work across text, speech, image, and video data, acting as an ML data workflow expert to ensure quality and timely delivery. You’ll help improve model performance through precise annotations and by identifying process improvements. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment shaping scalable AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality and protect customer privacy in all tasks
• Label diverse data types (text, speech, image, video) to meet KPIs using in-house tools
• Serve as SME for ML data workflows and ensure correct responses across data modalities
• Make sound decisions under ambiguity across tasks and categories
• Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to switch between requirement categories quickly
• Support daily operational metrics (AHT, quality, TAT) across tasks
• Own end-to-end data labeling processes with minimal reliance on instructions
• Contribute to root cause analysis, identify error patterns, and propose quality improvements
• Identify and suggest changes to SOPs, tools, and processes to unblock operations
• Provide floor support by clarifying internal queries during task execution
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance data-driven labeling workflows
• Contribute to building robust labeling pipelines for daily operations
• Maintain a focus on privacy and security as per Amazon policies

Key requirements

• An Associate’s Degree or related work experience
• CEFR C1+ or equivalent fluency in Dutch
• English proficiency (CEFR C1+) for written and spoken communication
• Strong business writing and ability to produce reports and professional correspondence
• Advanced reading comprehension and ability to analyze complex documents
• Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to interpret and implement detailed instructions across projects
• Proficient research skills and ability to synthesize information from multiple sources
• Excellent attention to detail in managing complex tasks and documents
• Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt in fast-paced environments
• Experience with task execution and cross-functional coordination (preferred)
• Experience with stakeholder management across departments (preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
