Overview
In Stockport, you will develop, test, and optimize laser systems and optical assemblies to enable world-class products. You’ll work with experienced engineers to influence performance, reliability, and manufacturability while supporting validation and readiness for production. The role offers cross-functional collaboration and opportunities to shape next-generation laser solutions with a global impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test laser systems and optical assemblies
- Build, align, and characterize laser prototypes
- Analyze performance data and identify improvements
- Support product validation and manufacturing readiness
- Troubleshoot complex laser, optical, and system-level issues
- Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality and Service teams
- Contribute to new product introduction and sustaining engineering activities
Key requirements
- Degree in Physics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
- Experience with lasers, optics, photonics or electro-optical systems
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capability
- Experience creating technical reports and test documentation
