Overview
As Legal Counsel, you will support the Head of Legal in a growing European IT group, handling commercial contracts and risk. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive efficient contracting and scalable processes amid acquisitions and rapid growth. The role offers exposure to IT-specific contracts, data protection, and cyber security, with independence and guidance as needed. This is a key position in a fast-paced, growth-focused legal team.

Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts (customer contracts, MSAs, consultancy agreements, supplier terms, NDAs)
- Develop and maintain standard SCC contract templates
- Join customer calls to explain legal and risk aspects of offerings
- Work independently with expanding commercial and compliance teams under month/quarter/year-end pressures
- Assist on cross-organisational projects and liaise with other functions
- Provide ad-hoc legal and compliance support across the SCC group of technology companies
Key requirements
- 5+ years PQE
- Qualified UK lawyer
- Training and qualification from a well-recognised commercial law firm or in-house team
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Experience with commercial contracts for customers/clients
- Exposure to IP law beneficial
- Ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments with strong risk awareness
- BPSS and SC security clearances requirement
