Senior Risk Analyst (SME)

Overview

In this role you will provide analytical support to the Models & Analytics Manager, focusing on credit decisioning models, data analytics, and reporting. You will help ensure data quality, support risk reporting, and assist impairment oversight, contributing to the bank’s risk management and decisioning processes. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations, enabling better credit outcomes and financial reporting. Responsibilities

• Support credit decisioning models with data analytics, data mining and statistical analysis
• Produce regular credit risk reporting packs with insightful analysis
• Champion data quality initiatives to improve analytics and reporting effectiveness
• Assist the Credit Risk team with reporting activities and ad hoc projects
• Support impairment management with monthly controls and oversight

Key requirements

• Strong aptitude for data analysis and presenting results
• High accuracy and professional data presentation
• Solid understanding of accounting/financial information
• Understanding of SME Commercial banking finance products
• Experience with data analytics tools and reporting infrastructures
• Experience delivering analytics with Power BI, Ultrix or Tableau
• Experience working with credit decision models and third-party data vendors
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SAS and Python (beneficial)
• Excellent Excel skills
• Knowledge of IFRS9, PD, LGD models
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving, able to work under pressure
