Overview

As a Principal Landscape Planner at AECOM, you will lead landscape planning across regional and global projects, shaping regeneration, energy transition, and infrastructure schemes. Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys and analyses using innovative methods to inform outcomes
  • Produce or supervise reports, drawings, and technical documents for development and design stages
  • Manage client relationships and respond to client needs
  • Lead client-facing communications, including conferences, meetings, and workshops
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to develop the team and maintain technical excellence
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve project delivery
  • Take on project management tasks including budgeting and programme management
  • Understand and apply AECOM procedures to projects

Key requirements

  • Technically competent in preparing LVIAs and TVIAs and evidence-base documents per best practice
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system related to landscape architecture
  • Experience in project management, budgeting, and programme control
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Competent in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud (preferred)
  • Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civils 3D, Revit, LSS or ProjectWise would be useful
