Senior Sales Engineer, Enterprise

Overview

In this role you collaborate with Enterprise customers to translate complex data needs into technical solutions from Fivetran and dbt Labs. You will guide customers through technical evaluations and a proof-of-value to demonstrate how our data-pipeline platform enables reliable, scalable analytics. As part of a cross-functional team, you’ll drive technical wins and help shape the deployment of data replication across modern data stacks. This is a remote role in Dublin or London with exposure to cloud and on-premise environments, and a focus on impactful data transformations and governance.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer business needs and data replication requirements in depth
• Develop and present technical demonstrations for enterprise audiences
• Lead organized proof-of-value processes to secure technical wins
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive product and process improvements
• Maintain strong customer focus while delivering technical excellence
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies
• Troubleshoot advanced technical or business roadblocks with teammates

Key requirements

• 5+ years in data replication, sales engineering, or related field
• Strong background in database replication, cloud infra, and data replication techs
• Hands-on experience with DBT
• Experience with cloud data warehouses, transformation tooling, data catalogs, and BI tools
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience with other data replication or ETL tools
• Experience with self-hosted software applications and supporting infrastructure
• Hands-on networking experience both in the cloud and on-premise
