Machine Learning Engineer

Overview

In this role you will build and deploy ML models that power core Snapchat features, applying established techniques to real-world challenges. You’ll contribute to the entire ML lifecycle, from data analysis to production deployment, and work with cross-functional teams to launch ML-driven capabilities. You will use modern AI tools to design scalable services while upholding code quality and security. Responsibilities

• Build and deploy ML models for core Snapchat products
• Apply established ML techniques to real-world problems
• Contribute to the ML lifecycle: data analysis, model training, evaluation, deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement and launch ML-driven features
• Design and ship scalable services using high-velocity engineering workflows with quality and security

Key requirements

• Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Experience collaborating with internal and external partners
• Proven ability to solve open, ambiguous problems
• Strong collaboration and mentorship skills
• Adaptability to evolving AI systems and tools
• 2+ years of ML experience or Master’s degree in a technical field
• Experience developing ML models for ranking, recommendations, search, content understanding, image generation
