Security Architect – DV cleared

Overview

In this Security Architect role, you will provide security architecture expertise across complex, high-assurance programmes. You will act as a senior authority to embed secure-by-design principles throughout delivery and provide architectural assurance for new and existing solutions. You will translate threats into practical, proportionate controls and mentor other security and technical professionals. This position is hybrid in London with active DV clearance, offering the chance to shape secure architectures in regulated environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align architecture with standards and risk requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and assure secure architectures across complex technology environments
• Define security architecture principles, standards and design patterns
• Embed security into architecture and design governance
• Review existing cloud, hybrid and on-premises architectures and identify areas for improvement
• Translate cyber threats and risk into practical, proportionate security controls
• Provide security architecture support to technical teams and transformation programmes
• Ensure alignment with relevant security standards, frameworks and risk requirements
• Act as a senior technical authority and mentor other security and technical professionals

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Architect
• Experience designing secure architectures within complex, high-risk or highly regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of NCSC CAF, ISO 27001 and relevant security frameworks
• Experience across cloud, hybrid and on-premises infrastructure
• Strong understanding of cyber threats, vulnerabilities and risk-based security design
• Experience translating security and compliance requirements into technical architecture
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture experience is desirable
