Overview
In this role, you will drive Eastman’s downstream growth by identifying and securing new specifications for Eastman offerings, collaborating with Account Managers to ensure seamless post-sale success, and shaping opportunities within the Circular Economy. You’ll learn customer needs, articulate value propositions, and guide complex opportunities through development and decision processes. The role places you at the forefront of Eastman’s sustainability and growth initiatives, with significant cross-functional collaboration. Expect substantial travel to engage customers and advance strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Generate targets aligned with the business strategy to deliver future growth
- Engage potential customers to uncover unmet needs and influence buying decisions
- Research market and competitive information to deepen market understanding and expand sales
- Understand potential customers’ business before engagement
- Present value propositions that demonstrate how Eastman solutions enable customer wins
- Steward customer development, evaluation and decision-making for new solutions
- Identify opportunities and strengthen Eastman’s position with customers
- Build trust and credibility with key stakeholders across the customer organization
- Collaborate with Account Representatives to close sales
- Utilize Opportunity Management to prioritize, track, and drive opportunities
- Coordinate with internal resources to ensure timely funnel movement
- Cultivate a broad network across the value chain and customer organizations to enable new business development
Key requirements
- Advanced sales experience (5-10 years)
- Extensive knowledge of markets and customers
- Strong technical/IP knowledge, market and customer strategy and planning experience
- Experience with CRM and other sales systems and tools
