Senior Project Engineer (Process background) – Staff

Overview

In this role you will oversee client-side delivery of process-focused packages managed by the FEED contractor, supporting energy sector projects. You’ll review scope, guide on-site technical work, and ensure design quality and HSE alignment. You’ll manage budgets, schedules, and stakeholder relationships to drive successful project outcomes. This is a hands-on, client-facing position with opportunities to shape process engineering packages across gasification, syngas cleanup, and power utilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of FEED contractor packages on the client side
• Oversee process-licensed packages (Gasification, Syngas Cleanup, Power & Utilities)
• Technical review of scope gaps and contractor deliverables
• Provide on-site technical advice and project management support
• Review subcontractor designs for compliance with client specs
• Prepare budgets and cash flow projections
• Plan, schedule, and track progress of engineering projects
• Manage key stakeholder relationships
• Ensure HSE compliance per client policies
• Produce progress reports and lead progress meetings
• Verify deliverables (drawings, schedules, datasheets, specs)
• Contribute to engineering design and assessment per client expectations
• Input into HAZOP/HAZIDs

Key requirements

• Degree in an engineering discipline (chartered status desired but not essential)
• Process engineering background preferred but not essential
• Experience on design projects in Oil & Gas, Petrochem, or Renewable Energy
• Energy-from-Waste or related energy sector experience advantageous
• Site experience in conjunction with a design background beneficial
