Associate Counsel

Overview

In this role you will provide commercially sound legal guidance on commercial and revenue opportunities for IMG/TKO. You will collaborate with the London and International legal teams to ensure best practice is understood and applied. You will draft and negotiate terms favorable to IMG/TKO and help ensure legal input is sought at the outset of commercial opportunities. You will work closely with the business to support media, production, brand partnerships and events across our sports portfolio. This is a dynamic, cross-functional legal role in a globally active sports business.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercially sound advice on commercial and revenue opportunities
• Pro‑actively collaborate with the legal team to share knowledge and best practices
• Draft and negotiate general commercial contracts to protect IMG/TKO interests
• Liaise with business units to communicate legal guidance clearly and concisely
• Involve the Legal team at the outset of opportunities or discussions
• Assist with new projects as they arise
• Contribute to a mix of Media, Production, Brand Partnerships and Events work across the portfolio

Key requirements

• Fully qualified Solicitor
• 1-3 years PQE
• Experience drafting general commercial contracts
• Experience in a commercial environment
• Training in top-tier legal practice
• Ability to assimilate salient points quickly and accurately
• Excellent written and spoken English with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to juggle and prioritise a heavy workload and meet deadlines
• Clear and concise communication with clients at all levels
• Team orientation and ability to develop rapport with colleagues
• Disciplined, hardworking and committed
