Transport Refrigeration Engineer

Overview

In this role you will service, repair, and diagnose vehicle refrigeration and air conditioning systems across the Midlands. You join a well-established company delivering specialist transport refrigeration services and will work remotely to keep fleets operational. You’ll handle stock management, safety checks, scheduling liaison, and accurate digital records, while supporting trainees and upholding professional customer service. This position offers a clear path to grow within a field-focused engineering team making a tangible impact on service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage van stock to ensure efficient service delivery
• Complete daily safety checks on the company vehicle
• Liaise with management regarding job scheduling, downtime, and customer orders
• Accurately complete paperwork and digital job records for invoicing and compliance
• Support apprentices or trainee engineers when required
• Maintain excellent customer service and professional company representation

Key requirements

• Previously worked in mobile refrigeration/AC/vehicle engineering roles or similar
• Experience in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or Mechanical Engineering
• F-Gas certification
• C&G qualification or equivalent in Engineering discipline
• IT literacy including Microsoft Office and handheld PDA systems
• Strong customer service and communication skills
