Senior AI Engineer – Machine Learning (Computer Vision)

Overview

In this role you will design and scale AI-driven solutions powering ASOS Studios, delivering imagery and video to millions of customers. You will work with cross-functional teams to apply multimodal signal processing and generative AI to enhance shopping journeys. The position focuses on reliable, high-performance AI systems with responsible practices and clear governance. Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI solutions using LLMs and generative AI; iterate prompts and workflows to improve output quality
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines with quality-focused data preparation
• Standardise and reuse AI workflows for cross-domain consistency and efficiency
• Apply MLOps principles: CI/CD, monitoring, model management, feature governance
• Collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure teams to design secure, cost-effective AI environments
• Embed ethical and responsible AI practices; proactively identify bias and risk
• Fine-tune pre-trained models for specific use cases to boost relevance and performance
• Contribute to evaluation frameworks with automated testing and benchmarking

Key requirements

• Proficiency in Python and ML/AI libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face) for computer vision
• Hands-on experience fine-tuning and deploying end-to-end ML solutions focused on deep learning for CV
• Experience with generative AI systems, prompting, RAG, and fine-tuning LLMs
• Familiarity with software development: version control, CI/CD, containerization, monitoring for MLOps
• Experience delivering projects from inception to production
