Financial Reporting Manager

Overview

In this Financial Reporting Manager role, you will shape the future of Wealth & Insurance Finance from our Bristol hub. You’ll deliver IFRS, Solvency II and regulatory reporting while driving automation and continuous improvement. You’ll partner with Finance, Actuarial, Tax and Investment Accounting to turn data into insights using Power BI, Power Query and Power Automate. This is a hands-on, impact-focused role with opportunities to develop technical expertise and influence changes in a forward-thinking finance function.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and explanation of financial results with Finance colleagues
• Own reporting processes for IFRS, Solvency II and regulatory outputs
• Act as trusted business partner, providing insight and technical guidance
• Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, risks and opportunities
• Interpret accounting, regulatory and policy requirements for compliant outcomes
• Lead operational improvement, automation and digital initiatives to increase efficiency and controls
• Manage reporting change projects with cross-functional partners and process/system enhancements
• Coach colleagues and share technical knowledge
• Promote robust financial controls and governance

Key requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 3+ years in financial or regulatory reporting
• 3+ years’ experience in IFRS, Solvency II or similar regulatory frameworks
• Proven ability to analyze complex financial information and present actionable insights
• Strong people management and stakeholder influence across Finance and the business
• Experience in a robust financial control and governance environment
