Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (Java & React / Javascript / Angular)

Overview

In this Senior II Software Engineer role, you help build a cloud-native, distributed platform to support researchers through publication workflows. You work with cross-functional teams to shape the next generation of our product, adopting AI and modern tech to improve research quality. You’ll balance delivering value with architectural stability, while mentoring teammates and driving best practices. The role combines backend Java/Spring with frontend React/Angular in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-hosted applications for a next-generation product
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements in a fast-moving setting
• Contribute to architectural decisions for stability and performance
• Identify and implement delivery process improvements
• Partner with cross-functional Agile and DevOps teams

Key requirements

• Proficiency in Java, Spring/Spring Boot, JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Angular)
• Experience with build tools, Git, and CI (GitHub Actions/Jenkins)
• Team collaboration and knowledge sharing experience
• Mentoring and upskilling teammates
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (New Relic, OpenSearch/Kibana, Coralogix)
• Experience with modern IDEs (IntelliJ/VSCode) and refactoring tools
• Record of test-driven development and mocking libraries (Jest, Mockito)
• Experience with Jira/Confluence for technical documentation
• Experience with Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban)
