As Data Relationship Manager Team Lead, you will guide a team of relationship managers focused on data partners across asset managers and asset owners. You help grow our data business by strengthening partnerships and ensuring engaging stakeholder experiences. You will balance people leadership with ongoing relationship management, driving performance and service excellence. Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Data Relationship Managers
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews, and development discussions
- Coach on communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
- Foster a positive, collaborative, high-performing team culture
- Build and maintain relationships with key data partners and stakeholders
- Escalate complex stakeholder enquiries and relationship challenges
- Support the team in maintaining engagement and service delivery
- Champion best practices in stakeholder communication and relationship management
- Oversee team activity, workloads, and priorities to meet business objectives
- Monitor team performance, engagement metrics, and operational effectiveness
- Ensure accurate CRM records, reporting, and data quality
- Identify risks and opportunities and implement solutions
- Support initiatives to grow and strengthen participation across data products
- Collaborate with business leaders to enhance data coverage and market engagement
- Drive onboarding and retention of data partners
- Contribute to outreach strategies and engagement plans
- Partner with Data, Editorial, Sales, Marketing, Events, Operations
- Share market insights and stakeholder feedback to support business objectives
- Drive cross-department collaboration to improve efficiency
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and team effectiveness
- Leverage automation and data-driven insights to improve performance
- Support change initiatives and continuous improvement
Key requirements
- Experience leading or coaching a team in relationship management, client services, or similar
- Experience managing external stakeholders and developing professional relationships
- Proven ability to drive performance and improve team effectiveness
- Experience in financial services, data, information services, or related industry is desirable
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities across a team
- Ability to create an inclusive, collaborative, and positive team culture
- Comfort with guiding teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and influencing skills
- Ability to engage with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
- Data-driven decision making and performance improvement mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience using CRM systems and reporting tools
- Familiarity with process improvement, automation, or workflow optimization is advantageous
