Product Owner

Overview

As Product Owner you join a cross-functional squad to maximise value by translating strategy into actionable work. You own the squad backlog, prioritise tasks, and define acceptance criteria to deliver high-impact improvements. You’ll work with designers, engineers, QA, Scrum Masters, and stakeholders, supporting the Product Manager in executing the roadmap. This role emphasizes balancing customer value with business and technical constraints to achieve measurable outcomes, in a supportive, collaborative, and innovative culture.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the squad backlog with clear priorities
• Make day-to-day prioritisation and scope decisions within product goals
• Balance customer value, business priorities, and technical constraints in prioritisation
• Ensure backlog items are refined and ready for development
• Ensure delivered work meets acceptance criteria and outcomes
• Use delivery metrics and feedback to identify improvement opportunities
• Translate direction and needs into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile environment
• Experience working in a cross-functional squad with engineering, design, and delivery teams
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and product development practices
• Ability to write clear user stories, define acceptance criteria, and manage competing priorities
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with a Product Manager and translate strategy into execution
• Comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment
