CSE Solution Engineer – Lift & Escalators

Overview

In this role you will own the order handling process for lift and escalator projects, defining specs, CAD/layout details, and installation/time/cost estimates. You’ll support sales and operations with technical questions, coordinate with contractors and design teams, and ensure solutions meet codes and safety requirements. Based in Warrington, you’ll serve the Liverpool–Manchester region, driving technical proposals and project plans that align with KONE’s customer-focused mission. This is a hands-on, cross-functional engineering role with real impact on project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define specifications, details, dimensions, CAD drawings and installation/t delivery time and cost estimates for projects
• Coordinate with Supply Line, Sourcing and subcontractors on specifications and delivery times
• Conduct technical site surveys and organize the order process and documentation
• Create project plans and ensure projects run to schedule; manage drawings and related documents
• Organise purchasing of required materials and liaise with Operations for handover
• Ensure solutions comply with codes, regulations and safety requirements; provide engineering and technical advice across products and processes
• Attend planning/specification meetings with contractors, architects, and owners; coordinate with project design teams
• Carry out traffic analysis as required and support technical sales process with costing and delivery planning
• Adhere to ISO procedures and deliver handovers to Operations

Key requirements

• Engineering/technical background (Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferable) or equivalent lift/escalator engineering experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer-focused with strong attention to detail
• Basic AutoCAD experience (training provided)
• Revit & Navisworks experience desirable
• IT literacy; proficient in Microsoft Office 365
• Experience in elevator/escalator industry and capability to survey/assess existing equipment desirable
• Driving license
• Enthusiastic about engineering and willing to learn
