Overview

Lead client‑side technology delivery for commercial occupier and workplace fit-outs, steering IT, networks, and smart‑building initiatives from initiation to handover. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage scope, schedule and budget, and ensure operational readiness alongside construction priorities. This role blends practical project management with strategic tech integration to deliver tangible building outcomes. You’ll shape the Building Integration offer and grow the capability within a collaborative Digital Buildings team.

Responsibilities

  • lead defined IT, workplace-technology and digital-buildings projects or workstreams from initiation through to close-out
  • manage scope, programme, budget, risks, dependencies and decisions with clear governance
  • align technology milestones with construction, fit-out and operational-readiness activity (RIBA Plan of Work)
  • identify blockers early and drive proportionate resolution to protect cost and schedule
  • produce concise reporting on progress, financial health, risk and key decisions for sponsors and stakeholders
  • coordinate designers, contractors, vendors and technical resources delivering networks, cabling, AV systems and related infrastructure
  • manage interfaces between IT infrastructure, smart-building systems, OT and wider delivery programme
  • support testing, commissioning, handover and operational readiness to preserve intended outcomes
  • support or lead technology-procurement activities, vendor evaluation and supplier coordination
  • build trusted client and supplier relationships while maintaining accountability for outcomes
  • mentor colleagues, share learning, and contribute to bid and proposition development in line with appointment level
  • lead defined projects or workstreams with day-to-day client engagement and governance at Senior/Principal levels
  • contribute to client relationships, opportunities and the growth of the Building Integration capability

Key requirements

  • experience leading client-side technology or IT infrastructure delivery projects in commercial occupier or fit-out environments
  • track record of managing scope, programme, budget, risks and stakeholders on complex work
  • experience with technology infrastructure (networks, cabling, AV, cloud, telecoms) and related integration
  • ability to coordinate interfaces between IT, smart-building OT and building management systems
  • strong stakeholder-management and clear communication to technical and non-technical audiences
  • proactive approach to identifying risks and keeping delivery moving
  • recognised project-management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, APM PMQ or AgilePM) or equivalent delivery experience
  • experience in client-side or delivery-organisation roles with advisory/assurance responsibilities
  • desirable: alignment with RIBA Plan of Work, procurement/tender processes, contract management, smart-building knowledge
