Overview
In this client-side role, you lead delivery of capital projects across London and regional portfolios, applying a robust project-management approach. You collaborate with internal teams, consultants and contractors to drive projects from business case through handover, while delivering on time, budget and quality. You support sustainability objectives and optimise asset performance within a high-profile property portfolio. You engage senior stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and value-driven delivery that aligns with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of capital projects across London and regional portfolios using a consistent project-management approach
- Manage full project lifecycle from business case to handover, including design, procurement, construction and commissioning
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to meet programme, cost, quality and performance targets
- Develop briefs, execution plans and delivery strategies aligned with governance processes
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to drive collaboration
- Monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, implement mitigation measures
- Support achievement of sustainability, operational and financial objectives across the portfolio
- Facilitate governance reviews and reporting to enable clear decision-making
- Manage interfaces between projects, functions, customers and operations to minimise disruption
- Support project handover and soft-landings, ensuring smooth transition to operation
- Contribute to annual capital planning, forecasting and portfolio prioritisation
- Promote compliance with project controls, governance, and digital reporting tools (PDMS)
- Champion health, safety, wellbeing and environmental culture across projects
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in ways of working
- Provide advisory support to senior stakeholders with informed recommendations
Key requirements
- Experience delivering construction, refurbishment, fit-out, asset enhancement or capital investment projects
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
- Strong commercial awareness including cost, programme and risk management
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience in consultancy, client-side, developer, contractor or corporate real estate environments
- Collaborative approach with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing demands
- Proactive and solution-focused mindset
- Understanding of project governance, reporting and assurance processes
- Commitment to health, safety, sustainability and continuous improvement
- Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline
- Membership of or progress towards professional body such as APM, RICS, CIOB or equivalent
- Experience across commercial, mixed-use, retail, residential or operational property portfolios
- Familiarity with digital project reporting and project controls systems
