Restructuring & Insolvency Senior Associate

Overview

In this role you will advise lenders, debtors, insolvency practitioners, investors and corporates on UK and cross-border restructurings. You will lead distressed M&A and coordinate cross-border matters with international counsel, while advising boards on financial distress and restructuring options. You will draft and negotiate restructuring and insolvency documents and support business development and client relationships. This is a high-impact position within a London-based Finance practice, offering exposure to complex, cross-border distressed transactions.

Responsibilities

• Advise lenders, directors, insolvency practitioners, investors and corporates on restructuring and insolvency matters
• Lead distressed M&A transactions and coordinate cross-border matters with international counsel
• Advise boards on financial distress and restructuring options
• Draft and negotiate restructuring and insolvency documentation, including security reviews and enforcement strategies
• Support business development, client relationships and thought leadership

Key requirements

• Experience across both contentious and non-contentious Insolvency matters
• Strong technical knowledge of UK Restructuring and Insolvency law
• Experience with financial documentation and security structures
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
• Commercial judgement and strong communication skills
• Ability to manage complex matters effectively
