Senior Product Engineer

Overview

As Product Engineer, you drive lifecycle engineering for Pall Medical products, including changes, VAVE, sustainability, and manufacturing transfer and validation. You’ll work on cross-functional teams in a Cardiff-based, on-site role to bring new products from development to manufacturing launch. You’ll engage in continuous improvement initiatives and support reliability through CAPA practices. This role sits within Cytiva’s Medical Product Engineering team, contributing to life-saving solutions across healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Complete engineering activities to support the Product Lifecycle of Pall Medical products globally
• Support Pall Medical product and process upgrades through VAVE
• Actively participate in Continuous Improvement projects and Kaizen events
• Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional Medical team to verify and validate new products, high-volume manufacturing lines and injection mold tools from development to manufacturing transfer and product launch
• Contribute to reliability improvement programs including best CAPA practices

Key requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent experience in a relevant field
• Experience in a Life Science oriented manufacturing company or similarly regulated industry
• Understanding and experience of risk assessment and technical change control validation techniques within a regulated industry
• Ability to use structured problem-solving techniques to drive to root cause and sustain improvements
• Ability to prioritize, manage and complete projects with limited direction, on time and in full
• Travel, Limited overnight travel to manufacturing, supplier, and customer sites, typically within UK
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts (plus)
• Knowledge of six sigma and the use of statistical tools (plus)
