Overview

In this role you will lead the delivery of process engineering across large or multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory alignment. You will drive operational excellence through Lean methods, KPI-based strategy, and robust planning, shaping programs over 3–5 years and translating strategic goals into actionable delivery. You will collaborate across management levels to sustain safe, compliant, and efficient operations in a highly regulated nuclear environment. Responsibilities

  • Lead Lean-driven improvements to deliver sustainable business changes
  • Develop strategy for operational excellence using X-matrix, balanced scorecards and KPIs
  • Ensure projects and change processes align with business goals
  • Use KPIs to trigger efficiency-driven changes
  • Advance efficiency, policy, procedures, and strategy alignment
  • Strategically develop 3–5 year programs and ensure alignment to long-term aims
  • Translate short-term tactical plans into feasible delivery schedules and meet KDMs, KPMs, KPI targets
  • Forecast business needs and coordinate work requirements for available feedstock
  • Manage MPS and recovery plans with multi-level reporting
  • Engage and manage stakeholders across the program

Key requirements

  • 10+ years of industry experience
  • 3+ years at Senior Engineer level
  • 5+ years in nuclear or other highly regulated sector
  • >10 years manufacturing management experience
  • Understanding of CAE packages
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations (Pressure Equipment Regulations, COMAH, COSHH, DSEAR) and their application
  • Proven knowledge of process design principles and techniques
  • Able to perform technical tasks and acknowledge limitations
  • Willingness to mentor junior engineers
  • Ability to work with all management levels and support staff
  • Professional attitude and proactive problem-solving approach
  • Team player and commitment to nuclear health, safety and environment standards
