As an HR Business Partner, you align people strategies with business goals to boost retention, performance, and engagement. You’ll support workforce planning, employee relations, development, and HR initiatives across practices while upholding Milliman’s values. You’ll influence leadership, coach managers, and drive HR programs that scale with the business. This role offers impact through strategic partnership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities
- Build strong partner relationships with executives and teams to diagnose business challenges and propose solutions
- Advise executives and support management in organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, engagement, performance, development, and training
- Analyze HR trends and metrics, conduct exit interviews, review turnover and engagement data, and standardize people solutions and policies
- Coach and influence managers to foster diverse, inclusive, and high-integrity culture; guide restructures and succession planning
- Support annual reviews, development plans, and talent development decisions; assist with PIPs and involuntary terminations
- Leverage HR tools (UKG) to enable business growth and provide ad hoc HR data for RFPs
- Ensure regulatory compliance and collaborate with legal on complex issues
- Lead HR project efforts, manage timelines/resources, and drive process improvements across practices
- Monitor status, escalate issues, and maintain accountability across projects
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- minimum 10 years’ experience resolving complex employee relations issues
- working knowledge of compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and employment laws
- professional, consultative approach with ability to influence at all levels
- strong communication skills
- European language proficiency in at least two of Dutch, German, Italian
- CIPD or SHRM certification or equivalent preferred
- experience in matrix environments, preferably consulting or professional services
- experience with organizational design and handling confidential information
