Overview

As Contracts & Claims Manager in the Energy & Natural Resources team, you will lead end-to-end contracting activities on high-profile UK projects. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximise value, manage procurement and tender processes, and oversee contract variations, claims and governance. This role offers exposure to major capital projects, framework development, and a chance to influence commercial strategy within a respected advisory firm. Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Contract Lifecycle Management and ensure value is maximised
  • Source and procure complex contracting requirements with high criticality impact
  • Prepare contracting strategies, ITTs, contract documents, and award recommendations
  • Manage major capital project sourcing activities in line with HSES and Energy Policies
  • Draft and implement new frameworks/Call-off agreements to meet requirements
  • Support evaluation criteria, bid assessments, and procurement timing and plans
  • Act as a Business Partner to internal stakeholders and manage contracting activity
  • Identify opportunities for competitive tenders and negotiate with suppliers
  • Oversee contract variations, changes, and dispute resolution
  • Ensure contract compliance, monitor deliverables, manage variations and claims
  • Perform data analysis for forecasting, planning and governance reporting
  • Maintain comprehensive tender administration records and supplier governance
  • Support procurement on current frameworks to meet immediate needs
  • Prepare procurement timelines for project duration
  • Develop contract plans aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements

Key requirements

  • Significant experience in contracts management, preferably in the Energy sector
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Law, or equivalent
  • MCIPS preferred but not essential
  • Contract management across the lifecycle of Offshore/Onshore projects, including change and claim management
  • Strong knowledge of Offshore/Onshore contracts and related regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of financial analysis and project budgeting
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship skills
