Senior Manager Industrial Development

Overview

In this role you will lead industrial plans across aerospace manufacturing, driving Lean transformations to achieve world-class quality, safety, and efficiency. You will mentor teams, coordinate with Process Engineering, and support New Product Offers and NPI development to align capacity and investments with business goals. You will steer Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives to push operational excellence. The position is based at ITP Aero UK in Hucknall, with a clear impact on site performance and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute industrial plans in line with group process standards
• Implement and maintain the Lean Manufacturing model
• Lead the Lean improvement plan and measure outcomes
• Train and mentor staff on Lean tools and methodologies (VSM, 5S, Standard Work, SMED, Kanban)
• Lead Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis
• Manage Hucknall Industrial Plan budget, including investments and expenses
• Conduct medium- to long-term load-capacity analysis and benchmarking
• Coordinate with Process Engineering
• Contribute to New Product Offer process: assess load capacity and productive investments for quotes
• Participate in NPI development: product lines, FMEA, etc.

Key requirements

• Bachelor in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field
• Minimum 5 years in Lean Manufacturing within aerospace or high-precision manufacturing
• Proven track record leading Kaizen events and Lean transformations
• Strong knowledge of Lean tools: 5S, VSM, PDCA, A3, TPM, Poka-Yoke
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is a plus
• Familiarity with AS9100, NADCAP, and other aerospace quality standards
