Overview
In this role you oversee a high-performing, multi-disciplinary engineering organisation to shape the future of SPX’s Precision Locator and CAT product lines. You’ll align engineering delivery with business priorities as part of the Engineering Senior Leadership Team, collaborating with Product and Project Management to road-map technologies. You’ll lead through others to deliver quality, on-time outcomes while fostering innovation and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role with impact across engineering, product, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end engineering delivery across the Precision Locator and CAT product lines with high-quality outcomes
- Own full product lifecycle delivery from technology development to industrialisation
- Ensure delivery against timelines, quality standards, and business objectives
- Act as accountable owner enabling transparent reporting and informed decision-making
- Build and lead a high-performing engineering organisation with accountability and collaboration
- Develop leaders and technical specialists to strengthen capability
- Foster an inclusive, engaged team environment that supports high performance
- Partner with Product Management, Project Management, and cross-functional teams to deliver aligned outcomes
- Influence stakeholders with clear communication and technical insight
- Champion continuous improvement and adopt best-practice processes and tools to enhance quality and efficiency
- Drive innovation through new technologies and AI-enabled approaches where appropriate
- Promote a first-time-right approach and design-for-reuse to improve efficiency and scalability
- Lead industrialisation to ensure smooth transition from development to manufacturing
- Define and manage external partnerships to strengthen delivery velocity and flexibility
Key requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams in innovation and product development environments
- Strong systems engineering capability in electronic-based product environments
- Experience leading Verification and Validation activities
- Proven ability to deliver complex engineering programmes through teams
- Expertise in building successful teams, facilitating change, and coaching for high performance
