Overview

In this role, you will join a friendly, multidisciplinary primary care team in Gorseinon, Swansea, providing high-quality, patient-centred GP services 2–4 sessions weekly. You will diagnose, treat, and coordinate care for a broad range of conditions, while promoting prevention and long-term health management. You’ll work closely with nursing, pharmacy, and other professionals to deliver coordinated care and contribute to practice development and governance. This is an opportunity to develop a specialist interest within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical care for general practice patients
  • Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations with patient-centred approach
  • Support ongoing and complex health needs and long-term condition management
  • Prescribe safely, arrange referrals, review investigations, and document accurately
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for coordinated patient care
  • Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development
  • Support development of specialist interests within the practice
  • Engage in practice meetings and governance activities
  • Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery

Key requirements

  • Experience in a primary care environment
  • Minimum of two years as a salaried GP
  • Full GMC registration and qualified GP
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience of triage, assessment, and home visits
  • Understanding of safeguarding adults and children
  • Commitment to continuing professional development
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)

  • MS Office proficiency
  • Clinical system IT knowledge
