Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of mechanical engineers and technicians
- Manage budgets, forecasting, and performance improvements within the team
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives across the team and wider business
- Build and maintain client relationships and promote WSP as the engineer of choice
- Oversee project delivery, schedules, and quality while managing resources
- Contribute to cross-functional knowledge sharing and collaboration across global teams
- Drive profitable, sustainable work-winning and maintain accurate work pipelines
- Act as the client’s key point of contact and ensure excellent client care
- Support business development and identify opportunities for additional commissions
Key requirements
- Chartership through CIBSE/IET/IMechE Engineering Council or working towards
- Mechanical engineering expertise in HVAC, cooling, fuel systems, controls, and energy management
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Proven project management and budget management skills
- Excellent communication, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Adaptability to evolving DC sector technologies and standards
- Customer-focused approach and ability to build long-term client relationships
