Overview
In this role you contribute to hardware development for power electronics in automotive and industrial electrification. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to translate specifications into robust hardware, from design through testing, ensuring compliance with safety and standards. You’ll be hands-on with circuits, simulations, and debugging, supporting other engineering disciplines as needed. This position offers impact by advancing efficient, reliable hardware within Turntide’s mission to accelerate sustainable energy adoption.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary engineering team
- Develop power electronics for automotive and industrial use
- Translate system specs into hardware functional specs
- Design, analyze, document, simulate, test, and debug circuits
- Conduct type testing and write procedures
- Supervise and guide technicians
- Support other engineering disciplines on hardware design issues
- Ensure compliance with company hardware and quality processes
- Ensure hardware designs meet relevant national/international standards
- Ensure designs adhere to safety standards
Key requirements
- Experience in electrical engineering or as a recent graduate
- Ability to follow design processes to assure hardware quality
- Electronics design experience
- Hands-on hardware debugging and analysis
- Experience supporting or creating PCB layouts and schematic capture
- Strong understanding of electronic principles
