Overview
In this role you will support a mid-market leveraged finance practice within a leading international law firm. You will work on a mix of borrower and lender transactions and collaborate with the Private Equity team to structure acquisition financings and cashflow lending. The role involves cross-border matters and contributes to a growth-focused Debt Finance group backed by AI-enabled knowledge development. You will be valued for your expertise and your ability to navigate complex financings in a collaborative, high-quality environment.

Responsibilities
- Work on borrower and lender side leveraged finance transactions
- Assist with acquisition financings and cashflow lending (senior, unitranche, super senior, mezzanine, PIK)
- Collaborate with Private Equity team on leveraged buyouts financing
- Navigate cross-border financing issues across overseas jurisdictions
- Support a mid-market-focused practice with cross-functional teams
- Contribute to high-quality, efficient deal execution and know-how sharing
- Engage with clients including banks, alternative lenders, sponsors, and corporates
- Work within a culture that balances excellence with enjoyment
Key requirements
- Post-qualification experience of at least 1 year in finance, including leveraged finance transactions
- Experience in mid-market leveraged finance preferred
- Exposure to both borrower and lender sides is desirable
