Overview
In this role you will manage commercial and contractual aspects of large professional services and construction contracts for a major energy infrastructure programme. You will help shape contract administration, risk planning and commercial strategy while contributing to electronic contract management systems. You work closely with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to drive value and mitigate risk. Responsibilities
- Manage contracts under NEC3 Options A, C, and E, including drafting and reviewing early warning notices and assessing Compensation Events
- Prepare monthly commercial reports and update project risk registers
- Carry out contract administration duties: valuations, payment certifications, programme assessments
- Support procurement activities from tender strategy and supplier engagement to contract award and post‑award monitoring
- Contribute to the development and operation of electronic contract management systems
- Identify and manage commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Support supply chain performance reviews and negotiations
Key requirements
- Experience in Construction environment or engineering discipline
- Experience in Cost Management; Nuclear / Civil engineering / Engineering sector exposure essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; methodical and problem-solving approach
- Experience with SAP and CEMAR
- Experience operating NEC3 and NEC4 contracts
- Professional qualifications and/or membership of a Chartered Institute (RICS, CIOB, APM, AcostE) preferred
