Overview
You will join a London-based commercial team in a long‑standing main contractor, focusing on residential and mixed-use schemes. You help manage project costs, cash flow, and subcontractor arrangements across projects worth several million pounds. The role offers a clear path to Senior Quantity Surveyor, with a supportive environment and a track record of steady growth. You’ll work on varied schemes and contribute to accurate reporting and compliant contract administration.

Responsibilities
- Monitor project costs against budget
- Prepare and maintain cost/value reports
- Manage project cash flow
- Prepare subcontract enquiries and review quotations
- Prepare, negotiate and agree subcontract orders
- Manage subcontractor variations and claims
- Price variations and obtain quotations
- Ensure changes are properly instructed and documented
- Understand and administer JCT contract
- Agree subcontractor final accounts
- Produce monthly CVR’s
Key requirements
- Live within commutable distance to London
- Minimum of 5 years of experience at a Traditional Main Contractor
- Degree educated in a construction related subject
- JCT contract experience
- Cost control and budgeting
