Site Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead day-to-day site management for multi-disciplinary civil projects within the Southern Water Framework, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely delivery. You will work within the Environment Business Division to deliver water and wastewater infrastructure, collaborating with the site team and stakeholders to meet programme, cost, safety, and quality targets. You will drive site records, risk controls, and QA/ITP processes, contributing to the company’s delivery excellence and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily site management and monitor delivery programme
• Ensure HS&E and quality standards are met per procedures
• Maintain accurate site diaries and project records
• Build relationships with stakeholders and subcontractors
• Produce weekly and monthly progress reports
• Supervise site team and supply chain, manage sections of work
• Report progress to Project Manager
• Oversee risk assessments, method statements, permit-to-work, inductions, and safety briefings
• Carry out inspections aligned with BMS requirements
• Develop and follow QA processes and ITPs

Key requirements

• Experience at Site Manager level (5+ years or equivalent)
• HNC/HND or higher (or equivalent)
• Understanding of engineering and construction principles
• Knowledge of legislation and industry standards
• Familiarity with water and wastewater processes
• Experience applying CDM health and safety responsibilities
• Certifications such as CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, IOSH Environmental (or equivalent)
• Proficiency with MS Excel and document management tools
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
