Senior Data & AI Solutions Architect, Energy & Industrials, AGS Solutions Architecture Team

Overview

In this role you advise AWS customers in the energy and industrial sectors on modernising technology estates and unlocking value from data and AI. You own the technical relationship, shape cloud-architected solutions, and guide customers from infrastructure modernization through AI/ML workloads. You create and share best practices, and educate customers about the art of the possible. Expect hands-on work across data platforms, security, and cost/performance optimisations in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to accelerate projects and recommend best-practice architectures aligned with long-term outcomes across infrastructure, modernization, data, and AI/ML
• Maintain the customer relationship as trusted advisor, guiding through technical decisions
• Design solutions spanning AWS services with deep focus on data and AI workloads when needed
• Represent customer voice to influence AWS roadmap and feature development
• Create technical content and reference architectures focused on data/AI for energy and industrial sectors
• Promote AWS technology through workshops, user groups, and public speaking
• Contribute to team growth by participating in hiring and mentoring colleagues
• Develop depth in technical domains with data and AI as priority areas

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in tech domains
• Experience in IT development or consulting in software or internet industries
• Experience in design/implementation/consulting for applications and infrastructure
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences, including executives
