Overview

As Delivery Lead, you will oversee data centre design leadership and multi‑regional delivery for a global portfolio. You will steer a large, cross‑functional team and ensure design quality, budget discipline, and client satisfaction. The role offers influence over AECOM’s data centre delivery capability at senior levels and involves high‑level stakeholder engagement. You’ll work across UK/Ireland and Europe, aligning delivery with the firm’s mission to build a better world.

Responsibilities

• Lead the UK & Ireland Data Centre delivery organisation and develop 100+ professionals across disciplines
• Oversee end-to-end design and delivery of multiple Data Centre projects from concept to construction support
• Manage a portfolio of data centre projects from delivery, technical and commercial standpoints
• Act as senior delivery and escalation lead for high‑profile Data Centre clients at director level
• Provide technical, commercial and operational leadership across programmes to ensure safety, schedule, budget and quality
• Coordinate bids and supplier requests to ensure cross‑discipline collaboration
• Chair strategic meetings, drive financial reviews, and report metrics to senior leadership
• Ensure consistency and quality across deliverables by managing resources and resolving technical issues

Key requirements

• Chartered Engineer or equivalent with strong data centre background
• Experience leading large, multi‑disciplinary delivery teams on complex Data Centre programmes
• Confident communicator with client interactions at director level
• Commercially savvy with risk, governance and profitability experience
• Willingness to travel across UK/I and Europe
