Infrastructure Security Engineer – London

Overview

As Infrastructure Security Engineer, you design, implement, and maintain secure cloud and hybrid infra to protect cloud-native applications. You’ll operate across multi-cloud and on-prem environments, embedding security into how systems are built and run. You’ll collaborate with engineering to automate security foundations and enforce best practices at scale, shaping secure DevOps and platform resilience. This role offers impact across SpaceXAI’s systems and products, with a strong emphasis on proactive risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design secure cloud architectures across AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Secure mission-critical apps in hybrid/on-prem environments
• Develop Infrastructure as Code templates with security controls
• Assist with security assessments and audits of cloud infra
• Implement cloud security tools (CSPM, CWPP, CASB)
• Manage identities and roles across environments
• Monitor and remediate to stay compliant with PCI, NIST CSF, GDPR, HIPAA
• Design secure container standards and automate developer workflows
• Maintain Kubernetes security aligned with best practices
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and code scanning
• Monitor security events and incidents in cloud/hybrid setups
• Maintain SIEM pipelines and security ops infra using Python, Terraform, Puppet
• Develop dashboards/alerts and security policies
• Own security projects end to end and stay updated on threats
• Stay current with cloud security threats and mitigations

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• 3–5 years in cloud or infrastructure security
• Proficiency in at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and security services
• Experience securing hybrid cloud/on-prem or multi-cloud environments with IAM
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with container security and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of network security concepts and protocols
• Automation scripting skills (Python, Bash)
• Proactive, ownership-minded, strong problem-solving and communication skills
• EU/UK location or willing to relocate
