Lead – Cybersecurity

Overview

In this role, you will shape and communicate Freshworks’ security story to customers, translating complex cloud security concepts into clear assurances that support deals and trust. You will build scalable security communications systems, develop repeatable playbooks, and drive automation to maximize high-impact customer engagements. This position sits at the crossroads of cybersecurity and go-to-market, enabling cross-functional teams to reduce manual work and accelerate outcomes. You will partner with Security, Legal, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to align security messaging with business goals. Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end security storytelling to the market
• Build scalable systems and repeatable playbooks
• Drive automation to reduce manual work and boost efficiency
• Accelerate deals and deepen customer relationships through clear assurances
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security messaging with business goals

Key requirements

• 4–10 years in information security with depth in application security, cloud security (AWS), or security pre-sales/solutioning
• Strong understanding of web application frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and SaaS security models
• Excellent ability to communicate complex security topics clearly in writing and in conversations
• Builder’s mindset with a preference for creating playbooks, templates, and repeatable processes
• Experience driving automation or process improvement in security operations or GTM context
• Comfort working across time zones and adapting to changing customer needs
• Self-directed and energized by fast-paced, high-growth environments
