Overview
In this role you ensure continuous production by diagnosing faults and performing preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of equipment. You’ll work with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control systems to minimise downtime and keep the site running safely. You join a busy Engineering team focused on improvements and reliability across a large manufacturing operation. You will contribute to safety, energy efficiency and quality while meeting production targets. This is a day-based, 48-hour shift with ongoing development opportunities.

Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous running of the production process by fault finding and maintenance
- Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on-site
- Work on equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control systems
- Contribute to risk assessments and health and safety improvements
- Support production targets through timely maintenance and problem solving
Key requirements
- Mechanical fitting experience
- Good knowledge of conveyor belts, drives, gearboxes, couplings and general mechanical equipment
- Essential knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems
- Ability to find and fix faults safely and efficiently
- Welding and fabrication skills
- Experience with preventative maintenance (PPM) advantageous
- Turning and milling knowledge advantageous
- Experience in medium to heavy industry; aggregates advantageous
- Team player in a busy manufacturing environment; contribute to safety improvements
