As a Financial Services Cybersecurity Architect at Accenture, you will shape secure technology solutions for banks, payments, capital markets, and insurance clients. You’ll work across strategy to implementation, embedding security-by-design and enabling risk-reduced delivery. You’ll engage with cross-functional teams to translate regulations and business needs into practical security controls. Responsibilities
- Help reduce cyber risk across technology programmes by defining and assuring security requirements, controls, and risk treatments throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct threat modelling using MITRE ATT&CK to identify threats and recommend controls
- Design and advise on functional and technical security requirements aligning with business objectives and regulatory obligations
- Support solution design, development, and deployment to implement security requirements effectively
- Define monitoring, logging, and security assurance requirements to detect control failures and incidents
- Support procurement and third-party risk by detailing security requirements and reviewing supplier security controls
- Maintain traceability between threats, risks, requirements, controls, testing outcomes, and risk decisions
- Produce security assurance evidence for risk acceptance, go-live, and operational readiness reviews
- Interpret laws, regulations, standards, and policies to produce practical delivery requirements
- Partner with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to embed security-by-design across solutions
- Contribute to governance, risk management, and compliance across client engagements
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience in cyber security, security architecture, or technology risk
- Experience delivering security requirements and controls in transformation or delivery programmes
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries
- Understanding of core security principles: Zero Trust, defence-in-depth, least privilege, secure-by-design, resilience-by-design
- Familiarity with Cloud security (Azure, AWS, GCP), IAM, Application security/DevSecOps, and related domains
- Ability to analyze technical risks and communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to use AI-enabled tools to improve productivity, delivery quality, or security outcomes
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
