Overview
In this Relationship Manager role, you will act as the single point of contact for a portfolio of clients within MUFG Pension & Market Services, delivering high-standard service while identifying sales opportunities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage client needs, renewals, and governance-aligned service levels. The role combines relationship management with proactive business development and financial analysis to support growth. This is a hybrid role based in central London, offering opportunities to broaden your career within MUFG’s global pension and market services network.

Responsibilities
- Grow revenue by analyzing client portfolios and promoting cross-sell and upsell opportunities within MUFG Pension & Market Services
- Develop and nurture relationships with clients and key third parties (lawyers, brokers, auditors)
- Proactively manage client relationships in the share plans space and renew client agreements
- Monitor service delivery against governance and service level agreements
- Engage clients in rolling out MUFG initiatives and contribute to process improvements
- Support Business Development and Marketing teams to drive switch business and client events
- Coach and provide support for Client Service Managers/Assistant Relationship Managers
- Adhere to regulatory requirements (AML and CDD)
- Represent the company at industry events and manage client billing and collections
Key requirements
- Demonstrable experience in the Share Plans industry; broader Financial Services/Employee Benefits experience advantageous
- Exceptional verbal and written communication, diplomatic and professional handling of inquiries and complaints
- Energy, resilience, customer focus, and strong commercial awareness to understand client needs
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet tight deadlines, and remain flexible
- Strong critical and commercial thinking to resolve complex problems
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills; Salesforce knowledge advantageous
- Good stakeholder management and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- High attention to detail with thorough and accurate work approach
- Ability to perform client-focused and financial analysis to drive growth targets
